Hello!

I love your website for so many reasons!  Today I'm sending you this snip
I saw in an old Western Kentucky newspaper.
Do you or your readers know anything about this?

Thanks!
Beth

Ad from 1971

Hi Beth,

Well, there is a city in Western Kentucky called Murray, Kentucky. That city is the home of Murray State University, whose student newspaper is "The Murray State News." In the May 5, 1971 issue of that student newspaper was an ad for a new fast-food shop called "Dip-A-One." Their specialty was something like a fondue called a "Fun-Due Pak," which consisted of a cup of dip and bread sticks to dip into it. I'm inserting the ad below, but you can view it in a .pdf file of that issue of the "Murray State News" at this location: Murray State News, May 5, 1971

If that link doesn't work, go to Google and type "dip-a-one" "murray state" in the search box. You will get a Google link to the *.pdf file. Click on it and then scroll down through the file until you get to the ad. It's a bit larger and more readable than the below image.

That was fast! Thanks for the information and have a lovely weekend!
